This is a piece that mourns my past self. It is an collection of all the trees and elements of nature I have once touched, captured by my camera-- there is an inherent privilege to photography-- as Susan Sontag once said,
“To photograph people is to violate them as they never see themselves, by having knowledge of them they can never have; it turns people into objects that can be symbolically possessed.
